My name is Stephanie Fischer. I am a wife, stay at home mom, and a labor doula. We moved to the Omaha area in 2015 a few months before our son was born. As a family we love to go to the zoo or stay in and watch movies and play games. In my free-time I like to bake, paint, and sew. I love 90's pop rock and the Harry Potter movies! Why did I become a doula? When I got pregnant I did a ton of research and became really interested in everything birth. After my own birth experience, I realized how important a great support team was to a birthing mom, thus sparked my interest in becoming a doula to help others get through this incredible life event with confidence. I believe birth should be embraced, not feared. As your doula, I will help you and your partner have a more enjoyable birth experience. I use physical comfort techniques, encouragement, and evidence-based information to guide you through the ins and outs of birth. I also believe you should be able to choose the birth options that are right for you without judgement. As of May 2017 I am a Kindred Hearts Apprentice! This means that all of my clients are invited to attend Kindred Hearts Birth Circle Group that is held once a month, you will get a Kindred Hearts comfort basket, and ensured backup by the founding members! If you would like to learn more about Kindred Hearts please visit their website www.kindredheartsomaha.com I have attended a CAPPA Labor Doula Training and currently working toward my Certification! I would love to meet with you and help you on your journey from Womb to World!
